Merchant Account :: Credit Card Issuer :: MBNA Credit Card

In years past, an MBNA credit card was the signal that you had signed up with a large, reputable company that stood behind its products to such an extent that they MBNA credit cards were the very first cards in the industry that were supported 24 hours a day by customer service agents. Such stellar MBNA credit card services brought in a large number of new customers, and it was the fortunate consumer who would have a MBNA credit card account approved. Yet over time with the credit card, MBNA began to experience a backlash of consumer complaints that showcased a very different side of the company.

MBNA college student credit cards were blamed for the large debts that were incurred by college kids who spent, spent, and spent some more while the MBNA credit card company kept raising the credit limits. Similarly, MBNA business credit card holders began complaining that the monthly due dates for their bills kept changing almost on a monthly basis, making it very easy to fall behind in payments simply by not very carefully checking the due date. Others who were at first overjoyed at receiving an MBNA credit card instant approval, later on related nightmares of incurring a whole host of penalties simply for being late with their payment by one day.

Today the MBNA business credit cards and also personal cards are administrated by Bank of America which acquired the bank in 2005. With the MBNA credit card login, and also MBNA world points credit card, Bank of America not only acquire MBNA credit card access and thus its customers, but it also chose to take on some of the most controversial MBNA credit card dealings that had in later years given the MBNA credit card product a somewhat bad name. While consumers were still continuing with their MBNA credit card – in part because many had to pay off huge balances – the reputation of the MBNA credit card continued to decline and new consumers that would have filled out a MBNA credit card application in the past were now hesitant to do so for Bank of America. While the MBNA credit card home page at one point used to be one of the most often visited sites of financial institutions, it is now the smaller credit card company and bank that is finding that with good customer service and transparent practices customers will leave the old giants behind.
