Merchant Account :: Credit Card Issuer

Did you know that a credit card issuer is not always the same entity that has its name embossed on the card? Similarly, did you know that credit card issuers deal in a wide variety of products, such as guaranteed issue unsecured credit cards - guaranteed issue unsecured credit cards for bad credit are a common product aimed at the sub prime market – but it might also be a company that issue secured credit card products to the sub prime market as well.

While there is more than just one credit card issuer, the questions that some consumers have often point to little inconsistencies between the different products issued by the various companies. For example one consumer might want to know “where is the issue number on a Lloyds TSB credit card,” “where is the issue number on a NatWest Solo card,” “where is the issue number on a Barclays debit card,” “do I need to give debit card issue number,” “what is the issue number on a Solo card.” while another consumer might have questions about NetMos serial card issues, mistakenly believing that this computer application is instead related to financial products. There are Master Card issuers in Minnesota, instant issue credit card issuers in California, and of course the Master Card issuers that specialize in novelty credit card issues, such as the Chargers team issue card.

In a financial climate where a list of the top 10 credit card issuers reads like a who’s who of the financial world, while a credit card issuers complete list is about as thick as a small town phone book, the questions surrounding the credit card issuer persona are legion. To whom should consumers be reporting credit card issues? Which credit card issuer deals will issue a debit card? Are these companies responsible for Internet credit card fraud issues? Can owners of a gift card have legal issues when asking for cash back? Is the credit card issuer the same as the cash card issuer or the business credit card issuers, and if so, are they under contract for credit card numbers’ privacy in case of a fraud issue? Other questions deal with the notion that credit card debt is often abetted by issuers.

Of course, some consumers are not entirely certain about the entire process, thus confusing the card issuer with a green card issuer or they may wonder “how do I issue a new social security card” especially on the occasion of the birth of a child. It is truly amazing to read some of the emails that confused consumers have sent to credit card issuers. By number, these firms rank in the thousands worldwide, yet the truly successful ones are closely knit to the most successful products, such as the credit card issuer for American Express cards.
